  • 6 firm beurre bosc pears peeled leaving stem intact halved lengthways
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 vanilla bean split
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 cup medium grain white rice
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1 tbsp finely grated orange rind
