Chocolate Peppermint Fudge

The ingredient of Chocolate Peppermint Fudge

  • 100g butter chopped
  • 2 tablespoons glucose syrup
  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1 3 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 180g dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint essence
  • icing sugar mixture to decorate

The Instruction of chocolate peppermint fudge

  • grease a 3cm deep x 19cm square cake pan line base and sides with baking paper with a 2cm overhang on all sides
  • place butter glucose syrup condensed milk and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat cook stirring for 3 to 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves and mixture is smooth increase heat to medium high cook stirring constantly for 10 to 15 minutes or until mixture is thick and becomes caramel in colour remove from heat
  • quickly stir in dark chocolate and peppermint essence until melted and combined
  • spread mixture into prepared pan refrigerate for 2 hours or until set cut into 3cm squares
  • decorate with icing sugar
