Choc Orange And Sweet Potato Marble Cake Recipe


All the family will love this twist on a classic marble cake, with a great choc-orange flavour and secret sweet potato.

  • 400g small orange sweet potatoes unpeeled
  • 175g butter softened
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 1 4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated orange rind
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder sifted
  • 200g block dark chocolate chopped
  • 1 4 cup thickened cream
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice

  • make jaffa ganache place chocolate cream and juice in a small microwave safe bowl microwave on high 100 stirring with a metal spoon every 30 seconds for 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds or until melted and smooth set aside for 30 minutes to thicken
  • spread loaf with jaffa ganache serve
