This gourmet version of a steak sandwich incorporates Italian herbs and creamy avocadoes.

  • 1kg beef rump steak
  • 2 tablespoons basil chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped
  • 2 teaspoon thyme chopped
  • 1 4 cup olive oil
  • 6 slices tasty cheese
  • 12 slices multigrain bread
  • 1 2 cup lite sour cream
  • sea salt and pepper
  • 1 butter lettuce leaves separated and washed
  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • 1 red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 avocados flesh chopped

  • flatten rump steak with a meat tenderiser and cut into 6 pieces combine herbs with olive oil sea salt and pepper brush steaks with herb mixture
